Frequently asked questions
The things people ask Quality Over Quantity Training & Development most.
Who is the training for?
Line staff, supervisors, managers, and directors in ultra-luxury, luxury, and five-star hotels and hospitality properties.
Is it theory or practice?
Practice. Training is built on real service situations from ultra-luxury and five-star operations, and the assessment is competency-based, so your team learns by doing and is assessed on what they can do.
Can the programme be tailored to our property?
Yes. We start by assessing your service standards, then design the programme around your property, your team, and the level each person works at.
What certification do participants receive?
A globally recognised certificate from Global Education Career Development (GECD-UK), issued to both the property and each participant on completion.
In which languages do you deliver?
English and Chichewa. Our trainers include Malawian expatriates, so what is taught is understood and actually practised.
Who delivers the training?
Professionals with more than six years of management experience in luxury hospitality, certified by Forbes Travel Guide.
What happens after the training ends?
Through our train-the-trainer work we develop your own supervisors and in-house trainers, so the standards keep going after we have left the property.
Why does service matter so much in a five-star rating?
Rating bodies such as Forbes Travel Guide judge hotels through anonymous inspections, and their standards put heavy weight on service: how staff greet, anticipate, and look after guests. A beautiful building alone does not earn five stars; the team does.
Where do you operate?
We are based in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and work in Malawi, where our mission is to raise the tourism and hospitality sector to international luxury standards.
