Quality Over Quantity Training & Development
Luxury Hospitality Training & Development
Quality Over Quantity Training & Development Consultancy is the hospitality, wellness, lifestyle, and technology arm of QoQ Group, working across Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Malawi. We train hotel teams to turn good service into personalised guest experiences.
About Quality Over Quantity Training & Development
We are certified by Global Education Career Development (GECD-UK) to provide training and development for line staff, supervisors, managers, and directors in ultra-luxury, luxury, and five-star hotels. Our programmes are designed and delivered by professionals with more than six years of management experience in luxury hospitality, certified by Forbes Travel Guide.
Our trainers include Malawian expatriates, so we deliver in both English and Chichewa and make sure what is taught is understood and applied in practice. On completion, the property and every participant receive a globally recognised certificate.
Our mission is to raise Malawi's tourism and hospitality sector to international luxury and five-star standards, equipping properties to host international guests by exceeding their expectations and delivering truly luxurious experiences.
“Guests will not remember every detail, but they will remember how you made them feel.”

Three parts of every programme
Guest experience and service culture
We build a service culture that lifts guest engagement, handles complaints well, and recovers smoothly when something goes wrong, so every interaction becomes a personal experience that leaves a lasting impression.
Leadership and train-the-trainer
We develop in-house trainers and supervisors who keep service standards consistent, so the standards we set continue to thrive after we have left the property.
Assessment and certification
A practical, competency-based assessment leads to GECD-UK certification. It validates the property's commitment to excellence and certifies each participant.
Training rooted in real luxury operations
First-hand experience
Our trainers hold Forbes Travel Guide certifications and bring first-hand experience from ultra-luxury and five-star operations, so the training rests on real practice rather than theory alone.
Taught in English and Chichewa
Our team includes Malawian expatriates, so we can train in both languages and make sure your team fully understands the teaching and applies it in practice.
Every level of the property
Line staff, supervisors, managers, and directors all take part, so high standards are embedded across the whole organisation, not only at the front line.
A certificate that travels
Participants receive a globally recognised certificate: a record of their proficiency that stays valuable wherever their careers take them.
Elevating Malawi's tourism and hospitality sector
Malawi, the Warm Heart of Africa, has a great deal to offer international visitors, from Lake Malawi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to its national parks and wildlife reserves. A 2019 study of skills in Malawi's tourism sector (African Journal of Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure) found serious skills gaps in accommodation and food and beverage services, and noted that training leaned towards theory rather than practice. Closing that gap is our mission.
Practical, on-the-job learning
Training happens at your property and is built on real service situations, so new skills carry straight into daily work.
The standard international guests expect
Programmes are built on five-star service standards, where how the team treats guests matters as much as the building itself.
Skills that stay
Train-the-trainer development leaves your own people able to coach new staff, so the improvement lasts beyond our visit.
